- Learning Outcomes matched to Practical Science activities
Academic Learning Outcomes
The goal of the AP Environmental Science course is to provide students with the scientific principles, concepts, and methodologies required to understand the interrelationships of the natural world, to identify and analyze environmental problems both natural and human-made, to evaluate the relative risks associated with these problems, and to examine alternative solutions for resolving and/or preventing them.
Each of our activities at the EEC has been carefully scrutinized, and great attention has been placed on identifying learning outcomes and alignment of these to Science practice for Biology and Environmental studies.
The natural environment here in Subic Bay faces the same challenges, to varying degrees, that other rainforests and coral reefs face throughout the world. It’s a natural laboratory where students can embrace the themes presented in the AP programs. With the diverse programs and activities the EEC offers, we can customize a program for students that meets specific academic objectives.
Here at the Environmental Education Center we work with you to custom design a program that meets your classroom needs. The opportunities include the following areas of interest: animal behavior, wildlife biology and management, marine biology and ecosystems, indigenous cultures, veterinary medicine, forest ecology and management, environmental sciences, and conservation biology.
